A new analysis suggested that thousands of deaths in the UK annually may be suspended from the consumption of advanced foods (UPFS) and experts behind the research believe that they may be a cause of early death.

UPFS has already associated with poor health, increased risk of obesity, heart disease and cancer. UPFS high foods contain high levels of saturated fat, salt, sugar and add -ons that if they are consumed regularly, they can leave less space in people to get more nutritious and useful foods.

Foods such as ice cream, processed meat, potatoes, bread produced in large quantities, some breakfast cereals, biscuits, and soft drinks are all in the shooting line, but there are some easy bars that you can make for UPFS.

UPFS also tends to include unused additives and ingredients when people cook from scratch, such as preservatives, emulsions, artificial colors and flavors. Nutritionist and health writer Christine Hermann, when cut on high -treatment advanced foods, said it is not related to “being perfect.”

Since UPFs is often loaded with salt, sugar and additions, Christine said, “Do not do anything for our energy, mood or long -term health”, and the more we can shift towards complete simple foods – the better our bodies, according to the expert.

“You don't have to fix everything overnight. But even small barters can make a real difference. It is good to build habits that actually support your health and not just fill you.” First, the expert advised to start abandoning sugary pills and going to normal oat or weight instead.

“It is full of fiber and less sugar. Yogurt may look healthy, but it is full of additions that you don't need. The regular Greek yogurt is a much better choice. It is still creamy without all unwanted.”

For those who usually reach sausage or pork, Christine has suggested trying some grilled chicken or a few eggs because it is “less processed and better for you.” When it comes to snacks, the expert said to exchange potato chips for a handful of nuts, seeds or some fruits instead.

For drinks, Christine said to overcome soft drinks and experience water with lemon or herbal tea instead. “You can also add strawberries, berries, or other berries in water for taste. There are small changes but they really add.”

In the new study, published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, experts call on governments to issue food recommendations aimed at cutting UPFS consumption. They looked at eight countries around the world and found that UPFS reached 53 % of people's energy consumption – the second higher study after 55 % in the United States.

Early deaths attributed to UPFS ranged between 4 % of early deaths in low consumption places, such as Colombia, up to 14 % of early deaths in the United Kingdom and the United States, according to their sporting pleasure. The researchers suggested that in 2018/2019, it was possible to link about 17,781 early deaths in the United Kingdom to UPFS, according to its model.

“UPFS affects health outside the individual effect of the high content of critical nutrients (sodium, unsaturated fats and sugar) due to changes in foods during industrial treatment and the use of industrial ingredients,” said the main researcher for the study, Eduardo Nelson, of the scientific body.

These include colon, artificial flavors, localities, emulsions, many other additives and processing tools, so the evaluation of deaths from all causes associated with UPF consumption allows a comprehensive estimate of the effect of industrial food treatment on health.

Dr. Nelson said that the study found that each by 10 % in the UPFS participation in the diet increases the risk of death from all causes by 3 %.
