A Florida man claiming to be a boat leader was arrested on Thursday after he admitted that he had repeatedly stabbed a shark in the head in the Snapchat video that took place late last month.
He was charged with the excessive livestock with cruelty with animals after it installed a bull straw near the wreckage site off Ki West on May 22 in a video entitled “Bud Broke My Rod”.
Garrett, which was identified as a leader on the Nature Nature Charsters, was delivered by the unknown Tipster who watched the horrific video and informed him of the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Committee in Florida, noting “safety concerns”, according to the port.
He added that Garrett “was investigated for false representation” because he does not have the required license to be a captain.
The officials conducted an interview with the man who originally published the video and directed them directly to Garrett.
“Yes, for weapons with a 9 to 11 -inch fillet knife, yes, yes to violent behavior of shark challenging over and over again, yes to worrying that they are stupid enough to create themselves a crime,” said Tipster in their report.
“Ya, that's me,” Garrett confessed when the authorities gave him Gori's footage.
Garrett claimed that his actions are in line with the typical method used to deter shark from the stealing of the fish, and that stabbing one would achieve others.
He later admitted to stabbing the shark several times in the act of “revenge” because the predator “stole his fish and was a source of inconvenience,” according to a memorandum mentioned by local 10.
“I asked Mr. Garrett if he believed that repeated strikes would eventually kill the shark, which he answered,” no. It takes a lot to kill a shark more than stabbed it in the head, “the document responded.
He also admitted that he had “done a lot of killing” for shark with firearms, “stabbing sharks and/or killing sharks without harvesting them on its boat several times in the past.”
The authorities condemned the “terrible” slaughter to receive unnecessary damage to the shark.
Garrett is held at the Monroe County Prison facility, Sharif Kish West, at $ 10,000. His arrangement was appointed on June 26.
