CCTV shots have taken the moment when the father was stalked in an attempt to steal daylight in a jewelry store, where he dealt with an armed thief who was armed with a hammer and the performance of the citizen's arrest.
Anthony Hbey, 31, and his partner, Jin Fleming, were shopping at Bendigo Marketplace, before four in the evening on Monday, when they heard screams and terrified noise, seemed to have weapons coming from the Stearns exhibition jewelry.
The creator rushed to the store without hesitation, as he came to face with a man in his twenties, and broke up the width of the open glass with a hammer in an alleged robbery.
Mr. Haby can be seen rushing to the man, who has his arm inside one of the glass displays, treats him significantly on the floor and hangs there.
While Mr. Habi arrested the alleged thief, his partner, Mrs. Feneng, assisted the employees to get out of the store.
Minutes later, the police and security arrived to help Mr. Habi, who then began the comfort of terrified staff.
“It was amazing – not to think about himself and put himself in danger – and he was straight on him,” Tina Carson told 9News employee.
“I think she was gunshots – he did not know that she was a hammer, and I think it was a weapon – and he still enters it and faced it on the ground.
“He is an Australian hero.”
But Mr. Habi said he believed that he had done what anyone would have done in the same situation.
“No, I am not a hero. Just a block every day, do something to do,” Mr. Habi told 9News.
“Something I think is that any ordinary person will really do it.
“Happy because we can help. Happy nobody – this was the main concern.”
The director of the store, Sherrill Lovara, said that the team was nominated for the courage award.
She said, “I hope he will receive this because I think this is what the award represents.”
The alleged perpetrator faced the Bordjo Judges Court. He did not apply for the guarantee, and he was imprisoned in the reservation until August.
The next day, the work updated customers on the accident via a Facebook post.
They wrote: “As you might be aware, there was an accident in our store yesterday. We are pleased to share with you that two of our employees and one of our customers for a long time in good condition and remain the highest of our priority. We provide all the support and care they need in the wake of this accident.”
