‘High Potential’s Kaitlin Olson On Playing A Super Sleuth

Kaitlin Olson and Morgan Gillory- Lapd Super-Smart cleaning lady plays crime High capabilities – You have one common thing: people quickly learn that it cannot be reduced. Although she is often known for her comedic roles in programs such as It is always sunny in Philadelphia and EquippersOlson came across the stage, so she is not alien to more delicious dramatic roles. This does not mean that she is away from adding her own comic mark, which leads to a comfortable personality that treats a mystery as much as it returns to a wonderful return.

The deadline: What made you want to participate with High capabilities?

Kaitlin Olson: I did not think I was interested in doing an hour for an hour on a network, but I read the text program and I fell in love with the character. I thought it was very wonderful and thought Drew Godard just wrote a beautiful pilot, which is difficult to do. It is definitely difficult to find this balance between the ideal tone between the real crime, procedural, human and comedy, but it did a really wonderful job. I was really affected. For something like this, you need to buy the fact that there is an actual crime committed or there was a murder and there is a real danger, and you also need to truly trust the police department and not only. So, if you tend away from comedy, I think you don't buy the story. It is not realistic anymore.

The deadline: The offer is very dangerous, but it has a lot of humor, as I mentioned. Can you talk more about bringing some of these comedy elements to the series?

UlsonIt is the fact that she is a human being and allows things to happen. I wanted to create a well -rounded character, and there is a lot that happens in her life, and she is always soaked. There it always happens in her brain, and sometimes she is able to laugh at herself. Certainly, she feels comfortable in mocking people, especially when they reduce it, so there is a comedy in it. This is just a human nature. I think the best dramatic material depends on the character, whether it is TV or movies, has been sprayed, because this is life. There are funny moments and there are dilapidated things that can be said that they can be funny, and you should be able to laugh at dark times. This is the way the world works, and it is just a fun to see it.

I wanted people to fall in love with this woman and really roast her. If it is dangerous all the time, I think you will feel you are watching a TV program.

The deadline: in the transformation of being a completely comic actor to a more focused role on the drama, was this a change for you?

Ulson: It was a big change for everyone to see me do it, but it was time. I grew up in the theater, so I did all kinds of things and you will have to see small glimpses of it Equippers And the film heroS. So, I think it was a surprise to everyone more than that for me.

The deadline: What are some of your entry points in contacting Morgan?

UlsonThe fact that she is a great mother. This is a really beautiful part of this person, so you can see many different aspects of it. It was good to be in conjunction with the extent of spending she and how she had to rely on no one throughout her life. She does not need a man or parents. I got it. I was forced to this situation. So, the fact that she found a way to know everything and still gives everything about herself emotionally to her children, she really loved it.

The fact that it is incredibly smart I think it is great for the story, but in reality what I linked to it is how this is a struggle for it. I mean, I consider myself a smart person, I have no high intelligence as doing, but I know how I am anxious. I know what is like in the middle of the night anxious about something or trying to discover something. Or even try to put the pieces together and the inability to relax and allow them to leave until I discovered it. This is something that two of us share, and I think this is something that all parents share. Also, the fact that it is underestimated. I was definitely in situations often where I feel that people reduce my ability to do something. Those are the main things that you closed.

The deadline: It is funny to remember the high intelligence rate, because I feel a lot of offers that are incredibly intelligent, it is always romantic in a way in which a person's life is perfect because of its intelligence.

Ulson: right. Their lives are great and always provide today. This is very boring for me to play. I didn't want to do this, and I think we will try to dig in this second season. It is more interesting to me that I have an ideal person and is still trying to discover and make mistakes. Therefore, I want her to make mistakes in personal life. I want her to make professional mistakes as well, but be truly convinced that she is right, but be wrong. I mean, as it will be boring if you are like, well, well, Morgan will discover it. you know what i mean? You want to surprise people and do not want to do the same over and over again.

I still say it will be boring and predictable, but also, I don't know how much it was explored on the TV. A person with an incredibly high intelligence, I think it has been classified as a nervous brain, and there are many people in the world who are nervous in some way. I think most of the world looks at this and thinks about it as a disturbance, which is annoying and it is bad, but oh, if you are very smart, it should be really great. This is not necessarily the case. There is a lot that happens there, and I am sure that it can be very alone and people can feel very misunderstanding, and people who are not smart or have no crazy intelligence- they may feel jealous of that, and their way of feeling satisfied with themselves is the situation of these people.

I mean, it is a rich world I think we can benefit from, and I think it is very common to have a perception that because someone is smart, he must have a wonderful life. It is the same with anything, right? Just because someone is rich, they must have a great life, or if someone is attractive, they must have a great life. Not necessarily true. People are good human beings, and for this reason I wanted to make sure that Morgan was multi -faceted and not just a smart person in short skirts.

The deadline: a presentation focusing on a single mother is not something you see all the time. Morgan has her ex -husband who is friendly, but how did she make this aspect be part of the story without spoiling everything?

UlsonIt was really important to make it clear that it was possible to participate in the parents in a peaceful way. It may be easy for it to be the easy option to be just one father or she hates the former husband. I think it is good to see that they were not right for each other, and to meet him in a way that is, well, yes, they were not right to each other, and that it is another way that Morgan was unable to maintain relationships. You now know that she had different fathers for her children, and there are multiple failed relationships.

I like it, in the end, I got it and the children are safe, but at the end of the day when she put her head on the pillow, she alone, and she discovers this himself largely. I just think that this is interesting, because it adds this element of the presence of the world's weight on its shoulders, especially now after I got this job and invested emotionally in it and they have to know what happened.

There was a murder. Adding that, in addition to everything else that occurs in her life and does not completely treat her as a job, appreciate money, and the love of her appreciation because she is already able to stop a job and be valuable, but oh, no, she now feels deeply towards the victim or who left her.

The deadline: Going to the second season, what are the topics you want to explore with your personality?

Ulson: In the pilot, she has this wonderful speech with [Selena] Soto where Soto says she has a gift and she is like, she is not a gift, and she calls all reasons behind this. As in any first season on TV, you are trying to discover everything, and look back, you got a lot of comments from people who love this part of it. The fact that there are many intelligent people exceptionally in the world who do not necessarily find it amazing. I think it should be very alone, then all other things that Morgan stipulates in that first episode. I felt that he did not touch many people, and I was like, oh, yes, there are people who sympathize with that and want to see more about how difficult it is.

Certainly I want to do more, and I also want her to make mistakes, as I said before. It is not fun watching someone hits outside the garden every time, and it will become boring. I love things with children. I would like to see some additional examples of her son, the way she gave her talented and how it is difficult for him. I mean, we touched on some friendships at school this season, but I think there is a lot to be explored there. The same with Ava and how it is a struggle for it, perhaps, or perhaps not. Ava may start getting a truly wonderful life and a wonderful social life, and this envies Morgan and Elliot.

It is also clear, I want to know what is happening with Morgan. I want to know what is happening with Abi Ava. There are a lot of things, I want to do everything. I want to really enjoy dramatic things, and I want to have funny moments and explore relationships. I think it is important to diving deeper into other characters in the show. We haven't had the opportunity to do this as much as I think we should definitely dig there.
