Investigators failed to open the Michael mobile phone in the months that followed his death on April 27 last year in Villanca Badovana, Italy.
The device was finally returned to the victim's father, Federico, who was desperate to restore his son's pictures.
“My son's smart phone, which was seized from Freso, was not returned only after several months, with the interpretation that they could not extract any data from it,” Federico told local media.
“Later, his girlfriend helped me open it – but I saw her walking pale. When I turned the phone towards me, I understood the reason.
“On Michael's phone, there was a video to shoot himself as he was walking to his home, dancing and achieving the victory mark.
“The face of that man, who was just arrested because of the death of my son, was on his phone, wearing a sarcastic smile.
“Thirty seconds showed seconds of Giacomo Frizo almost pleased to kill my son, which made a gesture that it seems to say:” I have done so, I killed him. “
Giakomo claimed that he behaved in self -defense, but it seems that this newly discovered evidence on the phone contradicts his account.
The bereaved father added: “During the video, there were details that did not match the story that was told.
“According to him, he fought with my son just and was also beaten – but he had no scratch on his face.”
Giacomo began hitting Michael's front door at about 4:30 am, according to reports.
After waking up, Michael went to the basement where the two argued.
Giakomo left for a while, and he returned at about 6 in the morning an armed with a knife.
Michael was waiting outside his girlfriend when Giakomo returned.
She arrived shortly after to find him dead, with multiple stab wounds on his face and chest.
While the investigation has been officially closed, this new evidence will add to the prosecution file.
Investigators believe that Giacomo has no clear motive.
It is said that men lived in the same street and know each other since childhood.
The alleged killer was locally known for his wrong behavior and was seen wandering around the streets with a knife in the days before the attack.
It was also reported that he just came out of rehabilitation.
The experiment is scheduled for September 11.
