EYES are the sexiest feature by far, a survey found — beating bums, boobs, legs and lips.
More than a third of people said peepers were the biggest turn-on.
The second-most attractive part of the body was hair, favoured by ten per cent.
That was followed by the mouth or lips and then legs — both on seven per cent.
Only six per cent said that breasts or a muscular chest were most desirable — while two per cent said feet were best.
Of the eye lovers, 39 per cent found blue irises the most attractive, while 17 per cent preferred brown and 13 per cent go for green.
More than nine in ten said eye contact was the most important interaction with a lover and claimed it can create a deep and meaningful bond.
Some 81 per cent said they fell in love with someone’s eyes before anything else and overall 94 per cent admitted being turned on by eyes.
The survey of 2,000 people was carried out for chain Optical Express.
Optometrist Stephen Hannan said: “Through our research, it’s clear the British public truly believes eyes are the windows to the soul.
“The survey showed we overwhelmingly view eyes as more attractive than any other body part and also place significance on them through our social interactions.
“This is why it’s absolutely paramount to look after our eyes to the best of our ability.”
He said people should have regular tests to check their prescription and eye health.
