Caine Bacon, one of the Islanders from Love Island USA Season 6, says that he was dumped from the reunion.
The Peacock reality dating competition cast was in New York City to film the Season 6 reunion. Bacon had been documenting his travels to the Big Apple on social media, meeting with fans ahead of the taping.
However, Bacon shared an update saying he did not attend the reunion.
“It isn’t,” Bacon replied to a fan questioning whether the reunion had been canceled.
He added, “I mean, I’ve been cancelled from it lol.”
Ahead of the reunion filming, Bacon shared videos on TikTok with Love Island USA co-star Aaron Evans.

TikTok user Soogia broke down the controversy that might have led Bacon to have been dropped from the reunion. In the video, she explains that Bacon attended a Korean restaurant and celebrated with Evans, toasting and saying, “Chin chin.”
However, later on in the now-deleted video, Bacon adds a “G” at the end of the celebratory phrase and bursts out laughing, making Soogia think he knew what he was saying was wrong.

Other problematic aspects of the video include Bacon mispronouncing the name of the restaurant Nangman BBQ and saying “Gangnam Style,” like the title of the popular Psy song. Bacon also seemingly mocked the use of chopsticks while dining at the restaurant. The former Islander also signs off the video saying, “Love you long time,” a phrase used in Full Metal Jacket, which fetishizes Asian women.
Bacon has been sharing his controversial takes on social media since being dumped from the island, revealing that he was given an edit that didn’t reflect his real personality.
During the Love Island USA Season 6 finale, host Ariana Madix announced a reunion set to air on August 19 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT on Peacock.
Deadline has reached out to Peacock for comment on Bacon.
