Ryan Vickers took his seventh win of the season at Brands Hatch and extended OMG GRILLA Yamaha’s unbeaten streak to six.

After winning three at Brands Hatch, Ryan Vickers arrived at Thruxton in excellent form. Vickers qualified on the front row and started race one from fourth on the grid. In race one, Vickers finished second behind team-mate Kyle Ryde.

However, there was no stopping Vickers on Sunday. The OMG GRILLA Yamaha rider took wins in races two and three, taking his seventh win of the 2024 season. After Sunday’s races, Vickers was very pleased with his weekend in Hampshire:

“It was a strong weekend for us and the OMG GRILLA Yamaha team,” said Vickers. “It’s always tough to start 15th in a race that was scheduled to be 10 laps, but it’s even tougher to go from 15th to first in six laps!”

“I’m really happy with the way I rode in this race, I attacked in the right places at the right time and managed to gain a few positions every lap and in the end I took the lead when Max Cook was ahead by a moment. On the last lap I pushed hard, hit my marks and took the win.”

In the final race, Vickers left many fans’ hearts in their mouths. The 25-year-old had a tough moment at the final corner on the final lap. Despite that moment, which Vickers described as “worse than it was,” it capped off a great weekend for himself and his team.

“The last race of the weekend didn’t go as planned because I got to the front early. I could see Billy was quick but maybe it wasn’t quite easy. I got past him and managed to get the laps. I had a little moment at the last corner but it was all good and I’m happy to take the lucky number seven R1 to a seventh win in 2024. I’m now looking forward to continuing this form at Cadwell Park over the bank holiday weekend.”
