EVERY autumn lover’s dream has finally arrived – the launch of the Starbucks fall menu.
The highly anticipated menu will roll out nationwide on Thursday and includes a curated collection of new and old favorites.
Starbucks fans can officially welcome fall on Thursday, August 22, with the coffee giant’s lineup of seasonal treats.
The iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte will return for the 21st year in a row along with several new and returning food and beverage options.
Among the returning fall flavors are the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai and the fan-favorite Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew.
Two popular apple-flavored favorites will join the fall lineup, including the Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso and the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato.
Starbucks also whipped up a new apple drink – the Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai.
“Featuring warming spice flavors of chai seamlessly combined with the sweet crisp flavors of apple and the creamy texture of oatmilk, this new seasonal sip is reminiscent of the homemade apple pie enjoyed at beloved fall gatherings,” shared the company.
Starbucks fans can score two more fall drinks exclusively in the chain’s app – the Iced Caramel Apple Cream Latte as well as the Iced Honey Apple Almondmilk Flat White.
Customers can pair their autumnal beverages with tasty treats, including the new Raccoon Cake Pop.
It combines vanilla cake and buttercream and is dipped in chocolate icing.
Starbucks fans can also create the perfect pairing with returning sweets such as the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, Baked Apple Croissant, and fan-favorite Pumpkin Loaf.
PUMPKIN PREDICTIONS
The U.S. Sun previously predicted the launch date of the Starbucks fall menu, as did food blogger Markie Devo (@markie_devo).
In a Facebook post from July 28, the content creator correctly guessed when the menu would drop and outlined the new seasonal food and beverages to launch on Thursday.
Markie Devo also predicted other items to hit Starbucks menus after the initial fall launch in August.
The blogger claimed the new Iced Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte and Salted Pecan Cream Cold Foam drinks would launch on September 19.
A Sign of the Season
Starbucks created the staple Pumpkin Spice Latte, or PSL, in 2003 at company headquarters in Seattle.
The coffee giant tested the new drink at 100 Starbucks stores in Washington DC, and Vancouver, Canada, after perfecting the recipe for over three months.
The PSL was Starbucks’s first autumn-themed drink and the second seasonal beverage after the Peppermint Mocha.
Starbucks initially discussed discontinuing the PSL to make way for new creations, but the drink blew up on social media and has since remained on the fall menu.
In its over 20 years of being served, hundreds of millions of PSLs have been ordered and the drink remains one of Starbucks’s most popular menu items.
He also shared that a new Mummy Cookie was speculated to launch the same day at Starbucks locations nationwide.
DUNKIN’ DROP
The food blogger predicted that Starbucks’s rival Dunkin’ would drop its fall menu a little later, on August 28.
Although the coffee chain has yet to announce the exact date of the launch, the blogger offered foodies his best guess in an Instagram post on August 2.
He also revealed Dunkin’s fall lineup will include the new Dunkalatte beverage and returning favorites such as the Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte and Almond Spice Coffee.
For fall-themed food options, Dunkin’ fans can choose among a Pumpkin Donut, Pumpkin Muffin, Maple Sugar Seasoned Bacon Sandwich, Banana Chocolate Chip Bread, and Apple Cider Donut.
The food blogger also speculated the chain’s Halloween menu would drop on October 16.
It will include a Spider Donut, Potion Macchiato, and Halloween Munchkins Bucket.
As Dunkin’ fans await the menu’s launch, they can sneak a taste of the seasonal sips with a menu hack.
George Medeiros, the manager at the Dunkin’ on New Haven Road in Naugatuck, Connecticut, confirmed to The U.S. Sun that they’re “already serving up Pumpkin Spice.”
In-store customers can ask for their favorite coffee with the Pumpkin Swirl, a flavoring option that is key in Dunkin’s fall beverage lineup.
Fans can add the flavor to hot or iced coffee, espresso drinks, cold brew, or frozen coffee for a pumpkin taste.
Although pumpkin spice is synonymous with fall, some fear the flavor may be “dethroned” as customers turn to three new flavors.
