A SAVVY shopper has shared their homemade pest control tip using Dollar Tree buys.
Instead of name-brand pest solutions, they opted for a $1.25 buy that keeps their home bug-free.

A TikToker (@daddybrownn) shared the money-saving home tip in a viral video.
On a shopping trip to the Dollar Tree, he picked up all the necessary ingredients to make a homemade insecticide.
The creator picked up a spray bottle and bleach.
“This, you can pour down your drain and get rid of drain flies and fruit flies that are coming out of the drain,” he explained, holding the large bottle of bleach.
“It’s also going to kill all the eggs and larvae that they lay inside of your drain.”
Another handy household ingredient that is doubled as an insecticide is dryer sheets.
To repel mosquitoes, he simply placed the sheets outside.
For the insects on his porch, he grabbed Pine-Sol, which he mixes typically with a ratio of 4:1 water to repel wasps.
For roaches in his home, he grabbed Fabuloso.
“If you clean your floors with this, they’re not going to want to come inside,” he said.
He explained that pouring the Fabuloso outside would also make the roaches leave.
He uses a 1:1 ratio of sugar and baking soda for roaches already inside the home to kill the pests.
An effective flea repellant he swears by is a 1:1 ratio of baking soda and vinegar.
Not only are all the ingredients $1.25 at Dollar Tree, but he added that since the ingredients are “natural,” the DIY solutions won’t harm the environment or get into the water supply.
