Entertainment

One of Broadway’s most recognizable stars is hitting the road.

From September through November, two-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters — who you may know from the original cast of “Sunday in the Park with George,” the film “Annie,” the musical “Annie Get Your Gun,” “A Little Night Music,” “Gypsy,” and much more — will perform at venues on a short six-show tour all over the United States.

And, yes, the New York City native is making a stop in the Big Apple.

On Monday, Oct. 28, Peters will headline at Carnegie Hall.

At all gigs, the 76-year-old legend sings “selections from musicals as if for the first time…including ‘Gypsy,’ ‘Into the Woods,’ ‘Follies,’ ‘A Little Night Music’ and ‘Anyone Can Whistle’” according to Stage and Cinema.

“This legend and seasoned pro gives a tremendous amount of pleasure to her audience, and her sheer presence and youthfulness are inspiring.”

Hoping to catch Peters strut her stuff and sing Sondheim live?

As of now, tickets are available for all of her upcoming concerts.

Prices start at $80 before fees on Vivid Seats at the time of publication.

Bernadette Peters upcoming projects

As of now, Peters only has one new movie in the works.

“Last Train to Fortune,” which follows Cecil Peachtree, a schoolteacher, and Dooley, an outlaw, as they strike a deal and develop an odd friendship along the road to Fortune after having to deal with gunfights, jailbreaks and saloon gals on the way, will feature Peters in a supporting role.

She’ll be joined by Mary Steenburgen, Malcom McDowell and James Paxton.

She is also scheduled to return to Broadway in 2025 with the revue “Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends.”

Broadway stars on tour

Peters isn’t the only icon from the stage hoofing it this year.

Here are just three other luminaries striking out on their own these next few months.

• Kristin Chenoweth

• Mandy Patinkin

• Patti LuPone
