A LOWE’s shopper has stocked up on a garden essential after discovering it was just $60, over $500 cheaper than its usual price.
The ecstatic customer bought 24 of the appliances and hoped to resell them for a sizeable profit.
The shopper shared this remarkable find in the Lowe’s end-of-summer clearance sale in a video on TikTok.
“Guys we hit the jackpot as these $600 grills dropped all the way down to $60,” they declared.
The grills usually cost a whopping $599.99 but were on offer for just $59.90 in this particular Maryland Lowe’s store.
“So of course I ran straight to self-checkout to secure the bag,” the shopper said.
The Lowe’s customer was so shocked by this deal that they didn’t just buy one grill – they bought 24.
“We didn’t just stop at four, we decided to add another 20 to the mix.”
It seems the shopper hoped to resell the grills for a large profit after purchasing them at a discounted price.
“It would be impossible to not [multiply] your investment,” they said in the comments.
One TikTok user asked the shopper how much he was hoping to make in profits.
“They will easily move as a minimum of $200. Making this trip $3k profit,” the customer replied.
The 26-inch griddle seems like the perfect addition to shoppers’ gardens to use while the weather is still warm and to prepare for BBQ season next year.
The U.S. Sun has contacted the TikToker for comment.
Lowe’s customers flocked to the comment section of the video to share their awe at the deal.
“No wayyyy,” one user wrote.
“How do I find [one] in my own city,” another user said.
“I’m going today,” a further comment said.
LOWE’S WOES
While some Lowe’s customers were amazed by the huge sale, many others have complained about one of the store’s checkout policies.
The retailer has started to phase out its use of in-person cashiers and has become more reliant on self-checkout machines.
And many shoppers are unhappy about this move.
Lowe’s deals
Lowe’s has a wide range of summer savings that shoppers may be eager to snatch up before stocks run out.
Some of their offers include:
- A wine cooler is $999, down from $1,099.
- A bathroom vanity cabinet is $814, down from $1,059.
- A framed bathroom mirror is $135.80, down from 4194.
“I’m done with @Lowes because of this,” one shopper wrote on X.
“Was there on a SATURDAY MORNING, no registers open only the 4 self checkout.
“The lines were half way down the [aisles].
“Several people including myself just left the carts and walked out,” they claimed.
Another customer was so furious at the changes to the checkout systems that they said they would take their business elsewhere.
“I canceled my card and won’t ever shop there again,” they declared.
