TRAVELERS looking to visit a Harry Potter-inspired city don’t even have to take the Hogwarts Express to get there.
That’s because American Airlines has shared that they will soon offer new routes to European cities, including one that will make you feel like you have left the muggle world for good.

American Airlines has announced that they are launching five new routes to Europe starting in the summer of 2025, according to their website.
Passengers will soon be able to book travel to Athens, Madrid, Rome, and Milan.
Harry Potter fans will especially be on cloud nine as the airline is also resuming non-stop flights to Edinburgh, Scotland, for the first time since 2019.
With winding cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and plenty of castles, you are sure to feel like you are about to take in a game of quidditch.
J.K. Rowling is said to have been inspired to write Harry Potter while visiting the city – there are even famous spots on which parts of the book are based.
Experience Scotland’s Wild pinpoints some of the most famously inspired sights, including the historic graveyard, Greyfriars Kirkyard.
Fans of the series will recognize the names on some of the gravestones there including Thomas Riddell and Lord Voldemort.
Colorful Victoria’s Street is even said to have given the author the idea to create Diagon Alley.
The airline’s goal is to provide travel to more unique cities than any other carrier.
“We look forward to providing customers more ways to visit their favorite destinations in Europe next summer,” said Brian Znotins, American’s senior vice president of network and schedule planning.
He is overjoyed that resuming service to Edinburgh and servicing these new routes will offer travelers with the most “convenient access” to Europe.

Philadelphia-based customers will soon be able to connect from more than 80 cities across the country to 17 trans-Atlantic destinations.
Pasta lovers, get ready to pack your bags – the carrier will have plenty of one-stop itineraries to Italy.
American will offer flights from Miami to FCO in Rome and from Philadelphia to MXP in Milan.

Altogether, service to Rome will be expanded to six US airports, more than any other carrier.

With a new service from Charlotte to Athens, American will soon offer four daily flights to Greece – that means more frequent flights than any other airline.
Though they already offer more opportunities to travel to Spain than any other carrier, they will also be connecting their Chicago (ORD) hub with Madrid (MAD).
This will make for easier connections for those traveling across Europe, as well as the Middle East and Africa on America’s partner airlines.
The airline will offer more than 70 daily departures to more than 20 trans-Atlantic destinations in total.

They will also be bringing flights back to Copenhagen, Naples, and Nice, in time for the 2025 summer travel season.
There will even be additional winter service from Miami to Paris.
Also beginning in the summer of 2025 will be extended capacity on four routes to Asia.
Larger aircraft will provide more chances to visit Tokyo with their flights from Dallas and Los Angeles to Japan.
Their codeshare services, which are operated by American’s partners, allow customers to access more than 30 additional destinations across Japan and East Asia with just one stop.
