EXCLUSIVE: The BBC‘s Kim Kardashian-produced Elizabeth Taylor doc series launches next week and we’ve got an exclusive clip to wet the whistle.
“My love for Elizabeth is just number one to me,” Kardashian, who was the last person to interview the Hollywood superstar when she was alive, says in the clip. “The way I envision her is just everything.” Watch the full clip above.
The series from Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story producer Passion Pictures, which is being sold by Fremantle, will reveal how one of the acting world’s most well known stars created the blueprint for modern celebrity. It will will take a deep dive into Taylor’s craft and technique as an actor, while going on to spotlight her work becoming a billion-dollar businesswoman, activist and advocate.
Deadline revealed earlier this year that Chris Wilding, Taylor’s son, will be interviewed for the first time about his mother in the show.
Passion Creative Director Hamish Fergusson said: “To tell Elizabeth Taylor’s story with Kim Kardashian is a truly incredible opportunity and we’ve absolutely loved making this. Elizabeth Taylor’s was a 20th century life like no other and there’s so much substance alongside the style in this story.”
Producer/director is Caroline Sciama. EPs are Kardashian, Kari Lia, Fergusson, David Moulton and Andrew Ruhemann.
