“Gossip Girl” actress Chanel Maya Banks has been found safe and unharmed after she was reported missing last week in Los Angeles.
Law enforcement told TMZ on Wednesday that Banks was found safe and sound and they do not suspect foul play in her disappearance.
Earlier on Wednesday, it was reported that the “Blue Bloods” actress, 36, had not been heard from since October 30.
Danielle Torrey Singh, Banks' cousin, traveled from Toronto to help search for the actress, to whom she said she was very close.
Banks' mother, Judy Singh, arrived in Los Angeles from New York to find her daughter.
Danielle Torre and her other relatives became concerned when they heard nothing from Banks.
“Five days without hearing from my cousin are red flags and alarm bells,” she told ABC 7 earlier this week.
“She never goes more than 48 hours without talking to me or her mother. … That girl is like a big sister to me.
Danielle Torrey, who distributed missing persons fliers in her cousin's neighborhood, said Tuesday that Banks' husband had not cooperated with the family or authorities in their search to find his wife.
“He's not willing to help the LAPD. “He is not willing to help me or her find her mother,” she said.
“It removes posts from posts and cars.”
When Banks' family was able to get to her home on Nov. 10, they discovered that “all of her belongings were still there,” according to a GoFundMe page they created.
“The only things we didn't find were her phone and her laptop. She also doesn't go anywhere without her little dog which she also left behind,” she added.
Danielle Torre also claimed that Banks' husband suffered “two broken lips and marks and scratches on his neck and arms” on November 10, which he “did not have two days earlier when police did their last welfare check.”
When they asked him about Banks' whereabouts, Danielle Torre allegedly replied: “She doesn't want to be found, I will contact her when she is ready.”
Banks played Sawyer Bennett in three episodes of the 2009 CW teen drama series. She also starred in one episode of Blue Bloods and in the 2010 film Twelve.
The family's GoFundMe account had raised nearly $4,000 at press time. It is not clear whether the money will be returned to the donors or not, as the banks were found to be safe.
