ROB Gronkowski has been inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame.
The four-time Super Bowl champion, 35, was born in Amherst, a suburb of Buffalo.
Although he never played for his hometown Buffalo Bills, the area where he grew up celebrated Gronk.
The former tight end was marked by a lavish ceremony held at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center earlier this week.
After the concert, Gronk posted a series of snapshots on social media.
In the first photo, he appears alongside his girlfriend, Camille Kostek.
I accompany the photos with honest comments.
“Thank you to the City of Buffalo for inducting me into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame!” He started.
“The foundation of determination, confidence and success was built growing up through all my friendships, teachers, coaches and family.”
He continued to add the hashtags “Buffalo,” “halloffame,” and “whatsnext??”
Camille, 32, also posted photos after the event.
“Shout out to the amazing Buffalo team that got me ready so quickly for the Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame,” she wrote alongside a selfie.
Gronkowski played for the New England Patriots between 2010 and 2018.
In March 2019, he announced his retirement from the NFL, but later reversed his decision.
The following year he was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a move that paired him with Tom Brady.
Gronk added a fourth Super Bowl title to his collection while in Tampa Bay, his first outside of New England.
“That's what makes him so great.”
New England Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski says Tom Brady's greatness comes down to consistency.
Brady continued to play until he was 45 years old, leaving many people wondering the secret to his longevity — and his old friend has the answer.
“You don't see that anymore in this generation, really practicing what he preaches,” Gronk told former teammate Julian Edelman, 38, on the “Named Games” radio show.
“There's no ifs and buts about Tom Brady being Tom Brady.
“What he puts out there, what he preaches, he practices.
“There's no doubt about it. There are a lot of people on social media, or in a lecture, who say, 'This is what you have to do to be great, this is what you have to do to be successful.'”
“Well, Tom Brady does what he says every day.
“He takes care of his body, he takes care of his mind, he competes, and that's what makes him so great.”
Before his second retirement, which was announced in the summer of 2022, Gronkowski had the possibility of joining his hometown Buffalo Bills.
“My second year in Tampa, I hit free agency for the first time ever, so I just talked to the Bills a little bit,” he revealed on WGR Radio.
“There was a five percent chance I would be a Buffalo Bill my last year in the NFL.”
He later added: “Playing for the Buffalo Bills has always been a dream. It doesn't always work out.”
Since his retirement, Gronk has become one of Fox's main voices in the NFL.
Throughout the season, he contributes to NFL Sunday and NFL Kickoff on the network.
