In the video that went viral, TikTok user thecraftedstudioco showed the simple trick to making a tree collar to her followers.

I started by grabbing a wide $1 bucket and cutting out the handles and the circle at the bottom.

In her next step, she sprayed the bucket with colors to make it look more amazing and aesthetic.

Her final step was to get a $4 Christmas tree and decorate it with all the bells and whistles.

Once the decoration was finished, she slid the tree through the bucket and added the stand – turning the bucket into a great looking Christmas tree garland.

Tree collars typically retail for upwards of $25, but with this widely used hack, you can make your own while spending just a few bucks.

Meanwhile, if you're looking for a simple way to decorate your windows this Christmas, this hack might be for you.

With just a supermarket purchase, you can instantly spruce up your home decor this holiday season.

In her video that went viral, a TikTok user (@weihnachten_weihnachten) demonstrated the simple trick to her followers.

She began by placing masking tape in a mesh panel that mimicked the panels on her window.

For her next step, the TikToker used Bloom & Bloss Christmas Snow Spray, available for just £1 from Poundland.

She sprayed fake snow along the tape so that it covered part of the glass on both sides.

Then, she raised an empty wine glass a short distance from her window.

The TikTok user then sprayed her wine glass and hand with fake snow.

This created the shape of her hand holding the glass against the window pane.

She also peeled off the tape to reveal straight lines that gave the illusion of snowflakes.

The creator noted that the decorating trick was perfect for anyone who isn't particularly artsy.

It also only took a few minutes to complete.

I repeated the wine glass step on the other side of the window, mirroring the first diagram.

This gave the illusion that two people were enjoying a festive drink together.

She turned off her lights to show her audience what the trick looked like with her candles lit.

Meanwhile, there's a clever mom who has the trick to getting you into the festive spirit with ease.

Casey Major, who goes by the name Major Mum Hacks on TikTok, has revealed how to hack your Christmas tree this year.

How to take care of your real Christmas tree

Here's what you need to know if you're buying a real Christmas tree:

First things first: buy a pot (if you don't already have one).

You'll need to treat your tree just like a houseplant and give it water and attention.

Make sure the container has good drainage, and it's a good idea to put something under it to collect excess water.

Check the soil every day to make sure it does not dry out.

If she feels dehydrated, give her some water. If it is still wet, leave it alone because too much water can also kill the tree.

Also check that the LED bulbs on your tree lights are not too hot as they could burn them, and keep your tree away from radiators.

When Christmas is over, try planting it in the garden so you can dig it up and use it again next year.

It's a good idea to take them out of the pot when you replant them, as larger trees don't survive well in pots because their roots need room to grow.
