Alec Baldwin was a real laughingstock on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.
After returning to the show to impersonate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the 66-year-old actor accidentally left his fly open during the final moments of the episode.
Baldwin stood with host Charli XCX and the rest of the cast for the traditional bow at the end of the show. He clapped and waved to the crowd, seemingly unaware that he had forgotten to zip up his pants.
But the awkward moment did not go unnoticed by viewers, who mocked Baldwin on social media.
“Alec Baldwin's zipper was down on SNL. What a loser,” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“Is he drunk???” Someone else asked.
“Alec Baldwin just showed up on the SNL finale when he was clearly wrong and flew off, not doing anything so LMFAO shows what's going on,” one viewer wrote.
A fourth fan tweeted: “Hey @AlecBaldwin, learn how to zip up your pants!”
“Someone tell Alec Baldwin his zipper is broken!!” said a different person.
Earlier in the episode, Baldwin showed off his first impression of Kennedy, 70, who was appointed by President-elect Donald Trump as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Baldwin appeared in the cold open alongside James Austin Johnson as Trump, 78, and Dana Carvey as Joe Biden.
“I'm very honored to be head of the Department of Health and Human Services. Americans need someone to teach them how to be healthy, like me, a 70-year-old man who looks like a movie star with a worm in his brain,” Baldwin said as Kennedy.
The sketch also mocked Kennedy's skepticism about the vaccine.
Baldwin has now appeared twice on “SNL” this season. His first film came in October when he portrayed Bret Baier on Fox.
The father of eight played Trump for years on the sitcom. This role earned Baldwin a Primetime Emmy Award in 2017.
However, Baldwin relinquished Trump duties to Johnson, 35, following the incident during the filming of “Rust” in 2021.
The “30 Rock” star was charged with manslaughter after he accidentally fired a real gun loaded with live ammunition, killing “Rest” cinematographer Halina Hutchins, 42, and wounding director Joel Souza three years ago while filming the Western. film.
Baldwin maintained that he never pulled the trigger on the prop gun. He faced a maximum of 18 months behind bars for Hutchins' death.
But during Baldwin's trial in July, the judge dismissed the case and criticized prosecutors for withholding crucial evidence from the defense.
