The Valley star Brittany Cartwright is the sole owner of the Mamaw's Beer Cheese brand, which the couple created for Jax's Bar in Los Angeles.

Kentucky native Brittany first introduced cast members and fans of the show to her classic Southern retreat on Vanderpump Rules.

Back in December 2018, she revealed on the show that her grandmother had been selling beer cheese for years and that she and Jax wanted to launch it as a business.

An Instagram page was created for the company but still contains only three posts, the last of which was shared in 2019.

The bio still says: “Rumors are true, we're in the kitchen working on bringing beer cheese from our house to you! Coming soon!”

Now, the US Sun can exclusively confirm that there is an official trademark pending with the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Interestingly, it's in Brittany's name only, showing that she can take the business to new heights on her own.

The allowance notice date is listed as July 16, 2024.

“The Office has examined the pending trademark application and has published it in a manner that provides an opportunity for the public to oppose its registration,” the filing said.

Andy agreed

Brittany is listed as the sole owner of the brand with an address listed as an office in Hollywood.

The pair previously introduced a cheese brand in 2019, but appear to have abandoned it in 2022 before repackaging it.

Brittany makes a second introduction of “intent to use” as she seems to be holding on to the name before it finally kicks in.

The US Sun has reached out to Brittany's rep for comment.

Andy Cohen previously spoke about the product after tasting it on his show when Brittany brought him a sample.

In a video shared on Instagram, he joked: “Mamaw, he's the grandson you didn't know you had.

“I have to tell you something: I love your beer cheese. It's amazing! It should be everywhere!”

In August last year, the former couple announced their pub, and shortly after revealed they would be adding Mamaw's Beer Cheese to the menu.

In an Instagram Story, Brittany wrote: “Mamaw's beer cheese is finally here!!,” tagging Jax's Studio City.

She and Jax can be seen in the photo smiling behind the bar as they stand next to a plate of vegetables and chips with a dip in the middle of the snack plate.

Brittany announced her divorce from Jax earlier this year, but the former couple continues to work together.

They upload separate episodes of their podcast on the same channel, and still jointly run their sports bar.

New bar

Earlier this month, Brittany revealed she would be opening her own bar, called Britt's.

She shared on their podcast this month, “I'm going to own my own bar in West Hollywood right across from where I started at SUR. TomTom's is three doors down from me. It's in the best location ever.”

Surprisingly, Jax revealed that he will be a “silent partner” in Brittany's business.

During an episode of Bravo's Hot Mic podcast this week, he said:

“My partners came to me probably four weeks ago and said, 'Hey Jax, how about we open a bar called Britz?'

“This was all in the middle of it, and they said, 'Listen, we understand what's going on with you, with the divorce, if you say no, we won't do it, why don't you sleep on it and let me know.'

“Financially, I thought why not, you know. But there would be some conditions. I would be an investor, I would be the quote 'silent partner.'

“I'll let her design it, she can have her say, but I'll have a stake in it. It's under my title, Jax Taylor Inc.”

Producer Alex Baskin joked: “What could go wrong?”

Jax insisted Brittany was really happy with the news and it was revealed within a week of starting work.

“I'll let you set up a bar with my business partners, like you're getting a golden opportunity here,” he said he told her, adding that she wouldn't have to spend a dime on it.

Jax then bragged, “I made this happen to you. Take me for a bit here…and then it's back to me being a terrible, selfish person.”

He then admitted his involvement in the project “maybe he hasn't settled yet” with his ex, adding: “Trust me, I'm going to make her totally realize it. You know it.”

“We hope to open another restaurant soon, one in Nashville and one in Florida,” Jax also revealed.

“The podcast is doing really well, and I'm starting another podcast, In the Mind of a Man, and I hope to build on that, and hopefully follow in Stassi's footsteps. [Schroeder] And go on tour with her.”
