Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie stars in Alice Winokur's upcoming film, stitches, Deadline confirmed.
Feature titled Stitches The film's events take place in the world of high fashion, and its events begin in Paris. All other plot details remain secret. The film will reportedly be shot in French and English in Winocour's style. Previous feature, Proxima.
Charles Gilbert's Paris-based CG Cinema is producing. Winocour is working again with Pathe Films here after her feature film Memories of Paris Which premiered at the Directors' Fortnight in Cannes and actress Virginie Efira won the César Award.
Winocor Proxima Eva Green starred Eva Green as an astronaut preparing for a long voyage on the International Space Station. She struggles to maneuver in a male-dominated environment, as well as life as a mother. Green received a César Award nomination.
Jolie is dazzling in award talk this season for her role as Maria Callas in Fremantle/Apartment/Netflix, Maria. The film, directed by Pablo Larraín, has a 77% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Jolie also directed the Western-inspired film, without blood, Which had its world premiere at TIFF. The film stars Salma Hayek and Demian Bichir. The picture follows a woman who survives the mass murder of her family, and who confronts their killer later in life. The film is based on the novel by Alessandro Baricco.
