Uncle Jesse in the doghouse.
John Stamos is facing backlash on social media for wearing a bald cap to support his Full House co-star Dave Coulier, who shaved his head amid his battle with stage 3 cancer.
Stamos, 61, shared three photos on Instagram on Monday that showed him wearing his bald hat while spending time with Coulier, 65.
In the second photo, Stamos shaved his fellow actor's head. The third photo showed Stamos kissing Collier's head alongside Collier's wife, Melissa.
“Nothing like throwing on a bald hat and showing off some Photoshop skills to show some love and solidarity with my brother @dcoulier,” Stamos wrote in his caption.
The “General Hospital” graduate continued: “You are dealing with this matter with a great deal of strength and positivity. It is inspiring.” “I know you'll get through this, and I'm proud to stand with you every step of the way. I love you.”
Stamos paid tribute to Coulier's wife at the end of his comment, writing: “@melisacollier is the coolest – your true lifeline!”
Despite his sweet gesture, Stamos was heavily criticized by his Instagram followers for wearing a bald hat as a way to support his best friend.
“So he's not really supporting it. He's taking a photo op,” one follower wrote.
“Seriously you can't shave your head bro??,” said another person.
A third follower commented: “Is this really appropriate?” Bald hat showing solidarity? You can just take off your hat and be “normal” again. When people go this route they are actually shaving their heads. I can't help but feel like you're using Dave's diagnosis as a way to make yourself more likable.
“What a shallow gesture! I can't even cut your hair for your boyfriend,” said another person.
Another comment said: “I hate to be that person, but it's even more insulting to wear a bald hat then not shave your head.”
Fans went after Stamos on X (formerly Twitter) as well.
“This seems performative, f-k shaving your head for f–ks sake,” said one person on the Elon Musk-owned platform.
“Good intentions but kinda weird?” someone else tweeted.
The Post has reached out to Stamos' rep for comment.
Stamos showed immediate support for Coulier after the latter actor announced last week that he had a “very aggressive form of cancer,” stage 3 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Stamos has shared photos of the pair over the years, writing on Instagram, “My brother from day one. I love you @dcoulier and I'll be there for you through it all.”
Collier revealed on the Today show that he was diagnosed with cancer five weeks ago. He learned of his diagnosis after suffering from a severe cold and noticing swelling in the thigh area.
The father of one is in the midst of chemotherapy and is expected to finish his treatment by February.
“The first round was very intense because you don't know what to expect,” Collier said.
“It was like a roller coaster,” he added. “There are days where I feel unbelievable. Then there are other days where…I'll just lie down and let it be.”
