James Gunn does not ignore creating R-rated projects at DC Studios if the story is worth it.
As Gunn and Peter Safran build their version of the DC Universe, the filmmakers aren't shy about continuing to take risks with their storytelling.

“We're not talking about that. We're not talking about 'See how it's done.' We have one chance to take these characters and go ahead and do what we believe in,” Gunn said.
