Sixteen Candles for the Bronx.
Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz's son towered over his mother in photos she shared on Instagram on Wednesday to mark his special birthday.
“Being your mother has been the greatest joy of my life,” the “Pieces of Me” singer gushed. “You are my rock and my soul. My ride or die.”
“You have been the greatest blessing in life I could have ever dreamed of,” Simpson, 40, continued. I wouldn't be me without you. Thank you for choosing me to be your mother.
She added: “You are so calm, composed, wonderful, loving, kind-hearted, thoughtful, funny, mysterious and unbelievably wonderful.” “I thank God every day that I became your mother. You are a true gift to this universe and I am so lucky that you are my mature and wonderful child.
The former MTV personality concluded her post by calling herself the “luckiest” parent.
The social media slideshow included old photos of Simpson's pregnancy and Bronx childhood as well as more recent snapshots.
More often than not, the high school student cradled his mother's two children with her now-husband, Evan Ross: daughter Jagger, 9, and son Ziggy, 4.
For his part, Wentz posted a selfie with Bronx on his Instagram Stories.
“Happy birthday love you so much,” the 45-year-old Fall Out Boy member captioned the upload on Wednesday.
Simpson and Wentz welcomed the Bronx in 2008, the same year they married. The former couple separated in 2011.
Wentz then moved in with model Megan Camper, with whom he shares son Saint, 10, and daughter Marvel, 6.
Simpson spoke on Broad Thoughts in February about winning the “co-parenting lottery” with Wentz and Camper, 35.
“Pete is a great guy, and Meghan is amazing,” she said at the time, going on to describe Ross, 36, as “the best extra dad.”
The “Ashlee + Evan” stars married in 2014.
