The shortest woman in the world gave a big hello to the tallest woman in the world when they met yesterday for the first time.
Jyoti Amge, 30, who is 2ft 1in, and Romaisa Gilge, 7ft 1in, shared their different views on life over afternoon tea.
Actress Jyoti suffers from achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism, while web designer Romesa suffers from Weaver's Syndrome, which results in accelerated growth and skeletal deformities.
The pair met up at the Savoy Hotel in London to celebrate the 70th anniversary of their Guinness World Records title – and to chat about their lives.
Jyoti, from India, said: “I'm used to looking up and seeing people taller than me, and I was so happy to look up today and see the tallest woman in the world.
“I am glad I met Rumaisa.

“She is very nice, and I felt very comfortable talking to her.”
Rumaisa, from Türkiye, uses a wheelchair but can stand for short periods using a walker.
She said: “It was difficult for us to make eye contact sometimes due to our height difference, but meeting her was absolutely amazing.
“We have things in common – we both love makeup, self-care, and getting our nails done.”
The title holders are honored as GWR Icons in the latest book, along with the tallest man, 8ft 3in Turkish farmer Sultan Kosen, 41, and Diana Armstrong, 66, from the US, whose 42ft 10 fingernails count as Inches are the longest in the world.
“Guinness World Records Icons are about celebrating differences,” said editor-in-chief Craig Glenday.
