An extremely rare Porsche 911 has been put up for sale at a hefty price, with a flashy engine that has barely been run in its 43-year life.
The beloved car has been virtually untouched since it was manufactured in 1981 with the original owner only covering 2,400 miles before leaving it in storage.
This black Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 SC is listed as looking straight out of the box due to its original condition.
The current owner bought the car four years ago, but rarely does so, and has now decided that given its age, it is time to sell the car.
It is known as one of the most iconic sports cars of the last 50 years, with its first ever owner purchasing it for just £20,000.
More than four decades later, the car is expected to fetch a whopping amount more when it comes under the hammer.

The 911 was introduced by Porsche in 1964, but was quickly overtaken by the 1981 Super Carrera “SC” which proved particularly attractive and popular with car enthusiasts.
The original owner drove the car approximately 2,400 miles in three years before leaving it in storage.
It was then sold four years ago to another hopeful driver who decided not to push it to the limit and only drove an additional 390 miles.
The car is now scheduled to be sold for a third time later this month by Humbert & Ellis Ltd of Daventry, Northants.
Jonathan Humbert, auctioneer at Humbert & Ellis, said: “Finding an example of this marque with such low miles represents an incredible purchasing opportunity for collectors, investors and drivers alike.
“It's like a new car for all intents and purposes, and with such low miles, it's certainly the closest anyone has gotten to driving such a 'new' car since 1981 – but 43 years later, here in 2024.”
“Porsche 911s have broad appeal – and this will be a favorite among favourites.
“It can only be authentic once – I would simply say – try to find another.”
The auction will be held on November 28.
It comes as a rare 1990 Porsche 911 in yolk yellow was up for grabs a few weeks ago.
This stunning 1990s sports car features a unique finish, a black leather interior, a 3.8-litre flat-six engine and a six-speed manual gearbox.
Initial forecasts indicate that the car is expected to sell for a whopping £850,000 at auction.
Another very rare and iconic Porsche 911 also went up for sale last month.
A 1998 993-generation Carrera S was purchased for over £300,000 to a lucky driver who drove the 'one-of-a-kind' car.
Porsche 911 history
The legendary sports car is 61 years old and has been a favorite among car enthusiasts for decades.
An all-new Porsche model was shown at the 1963 Frankfurt International Motor Show which became known as the first ever 911.
Full production of the car did not begin until a year later in September 1964 at Porsche's plant in Zuffenhausen.
When it was first manufactured, it was actually called the 901, but it was quickly converted to the now famous name before the first version was ever sold.
Since then, more than 1.2 million unique cars have been produced across eight different generations.
