As an executive producer on Real Housewives Franchise, Andy Cohen has a great vision for the shows.
At Bravo Fan Fest Miami, Cohen gave Deadline a deeper understanding of why The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City It continues to do well in its fifth season.
“I always lead with a sense of humor. These women have known each other for a long time. Even Bronwyn [Newport]“The new housewife has known Lisa Barlow for 10 years,” Cohen told us. “I think that's something that's really important. It's a connection that you can't fake. There's an organic backbone to the relationships between people that's essential to the success and continuity of these shows.”
Cohen also teased that “there's something coming up this week on Salt Lake City Housewives, which is probably one of the more raw shows.” [and] “The most real moments I've ever seen on a Housewives episode in the franchise's history between Mary Cosby and her son, Robert Jr. They're incredibly emotional moments that I think will touch a lot of people.”

“I mean, Jane is in prison. I don't know when she's going to get out, so I think that seems to be off the table,” Cohen explained. “I'm a huge fan of Monica, but I think that's kind of a conversation for the future. We're in the middle of an incredibly successful season right now, and I don't want to take away from the amazing work of these women in the cast through speculation.
The ultimate girls trip for The Real Housewives The spinoff on Peacock was also a fan favorite. Fans have been wondering if it will get a remake, and Cohen said he “hopes so.”
“I love The ultimate girls trip. We were looking for ways we could revamp it if we brought it back. “It's definitely a conversation,” he said.
Cohen noted that when discussing ways to bring back the spinoff, cast members from other Bravo shows will be considered.
