Macy's 98th Thanksgiving Day Parade has finally arrived — and it's time to spread some cheer!

Musical performances and over six new floats are preparing to take over New York City and kick off the holiday season in full swing!

This year's parade will feature 17 unique balloons, 22 floats, 15 heritage and modern balloons, 11 marching bands, more than 700 clowns, and 10 musical performance groups.

The show is typically watched by more than 3.5 million people in New York City and more than 50 million viewers at home, thanks to thousands of volunteers who help the celebration run smoothly.

When is the 2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade?

According to tradition, the show will be held on National Day, which falls on Thursday, November 28 this year. For the second year in a row, proceedings will begin at 8:30 AM and continue until noon in all time zones, followed by a presentation at 2 PM ET/PT.

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will air on NBC and stream live on Peacock. Coverage will also be available in Spanish on Telemundo broadcast with hosts Carlos Adian and Andrea Meza. Subscribers to Hulu Live, Sling TV, DirecTV Stream and YouTube TV can also stream the festivities live on those platforms.

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade runs 2.5 miles, starting on the Upper West Side and ending at Macy's Herald Square.

It departs from West 77th Street and Central Park West, continues along Central Park West and passes through Columbus Circle before crossing Central Park South to Sixth Avenue and continuing downtown to Herald Square.

No tickets are needed to see the show in person. However, it is best to avoid viewing on Sixth Avenue between 34th and 38th Streets and on West 34th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues as national television broadcasts limit viewing there.

It is also recommended to arrive “no later than 6 a.m.” to get the best spots.

Will there be any special guests and performers?
