When it comes to online shopping failures, we've seen a lot. But one recent flop, via Shein International, really surprised us (cough).
A mother recently had the shock of her life when she opened a package of an item she had bought for her young son.
Oh my God, this is a different type of snake!
It was a box of peanuts, which are usually sold in the prank or magic sections of toy stores. What usually pops up is a giant snake of some sort.
Well, they got the “snake” part right. Except this time it was a little off various Kind.
“OMG I bought this replica toy for my 7 year old son and didn't realize until today that it had a d&@k on it,” she shared in the Shein Lovers Australia Facebook group.
Fortunately for the mother, the child was not “accidentally” exposed to the X-rated toy.
“Good thing I opened it first before giving it to him!” She added, “Oh my God, it’s one of those cans that you open and a snake or a worm comes out of it, and I’ve never seen one of those come out before.”
A very happy birthday, indeed!
As expected, she was not the only Australian mother to experience the shock of her life.
Nearly 500 people chimed in in the comments section – and surprisingly, many of them wanted the link so they could purchase the same item!
“OMG I have to buy these for my friends,” one person commented.
Another added: “Oh my god, I can't stop laughing.”
The failure of online shopping has certainly left many people feeling awestruck!
“OMG I've had a really bad couple of weeks and I'm finding it so hard to even smile and this made me laugh! Thanks for posting,” one person said.
Another agreed that the mother was lucky to have discovered the failure before her young son, saying: “I can imagine him taking it to school for show and tell…so lucky you checked on him first.”
Others kept the joke going with their crude jokes.
“Snap snakes,” one of them laughed. “They weren’t kidding.”
“False advertising. They forgot the nuts!!,” another joked.
A shopper's terrifying discovery in her Shein package
This isn't the first time Kidspot has reported an unfortunate error in Shein's order.
In September this year, a shopper was horrified after she opened her latest order and discovered some creepy creatures inside.
In a TikTok clip, she revealed she found three live worms after tearing open bags sent by the online retailer.
“I could throw up right now,” she wrote over footage of the creepy insects, about 5cm long, writhing on a plate.
In the comments section, she said she “screamed so loudly” and “I swear this is real, I can't make this up.”
I also vowed to never order from the site again.
Maybe if it was a giant worm things would be different?
