The NFL today continued to build its shows around Super Bowl LIX, announcing that Jon Batiste, Trombone Shorty, Lauren Daigle and Ledisi will provide pregame entertainment.
The game will be held at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9, 2025 and will be broadcast live on Fox. The star-studded lineup announced today aims to pay homage to New Orleans music and features artists who call Louisiana home.
“We are honored to work with this year’s pregame lineup to celebrate the rich musical heritage of New Orleans and the entire state,” said Seth Dudosky, NFL Head of Music. “The Super Bowl is a rare moment to unite fans around the world, and this year’s artists will bring the energy, spirit and vibrant sounds of the region to the global stage, as we kick off Super Bowl LIX with an unforgettable celebration.”
Grammy Award winner and Oscar winner Jon Batiste of New Orleans will perform the national anthem.
Trombone Shorty, a New Orleans-based Grammy Award-winning musician and producer, will perform “America the Beautiful” alongside fellow Grammy Award-winner Lauren Daigle.
Ledisi, a New Orleans native and Grammy Award winner, will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
Last year, Reba McEntire, Post Malone and Andra Day provided pre-match entertainment.
Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Kendrick Lamar was previously announced as the headliner for the Super Bowl LIX Apple Music halftime show, presented by Roc Nation.
