Exclusive: A day to die and The king called her Director Wes Miller created the legal thriller Wildcards As his next feature he cast Leon (Swarm, five heartbeats), Elise Neal (Every one of us), Aries Spears (Mad TV), and Stacia Lynn Washington (Angel City) in leadership roles.

Lloyd Watts is co-producing with Jesse Galli, Chad Geron and Elise Neal serving as executive producers. Also starring in the picture is Moro's crew (The bold and the beautiful), Courtney Grace, Samantha Walks (Orphan: the first murder), and Robert Caterini (Jack Reacher: Never come back).

Wildcards It follows a jury deliberating the case of Theodore Sterling (Morrow), a distinguished young man accused of sexually assaulting a twenty-something African-American woman (Lynn Washington). The prosecution is led by Assistant District Attorney James Jones (Spears), a weary but determined prosecutor, who faces off against Greg Sims (Lyon), a veteran defense attorney with a 25-year winning streak.

The official synopsis reads: As the jury weighs the evidence, their contrasting backgrounds and beliefs ignite fierce debate, amplifying the tension within the deliberation room. Meanwhile, the appearance of Wildcard, a mysterious witness who claims to know the truth about the night in question, throws the case into turmoil. Her relationship with the accused and her motives add a layer of uncertainty, raising critical questions about bias, privilege, and the pursuit of justice.

Director Wes Miller is famous A day to die (2022), starring Bruce Willis, and The king called her (2024) starring Natori Naughton, Lance Gross, and Jason Mitchell.

“I've always loved legal thrillers and I'm excited to work with this insanely talented actor to bring this work to life,” Miller said of his next film. “For me, it examines the discourse in our country and tells us more about what we can do together, rather than separately, wrapped up in a fast-paced, commercially viable thriller.”
