Exclusive: In a heated competition, Netflix has picked up the rights to Callie Hart's fantasy romance phenomenon BookTok mercury. Deadline hears this is a 7-figure deal.
Elizabeth Cantillon will produce for Cantillon. Hart will serve as executive producer. WME brokered the deal.

The film revolves around a human rebel who bonds herself with a handsome Fae warrior after inadvertently reopening a portal between worlds.
Copyright in mercury The trilogy was sold by WME in an auction with 10 bidders to Leah Hultenschmidt at Forever (Grand Central Publishing). UK rights have been sold to Molly Powell at Hodderscape. Quicksilver will be reissued in paperback on December 3, 2024, and will be followed by a deluxe hardcover in summer 2025. Hart intends to write three books in the series, with the second book published in the fall of 2025. Globally, translation rights have been sold in 24 languages to now.

Cantillon was the executive producer of the hit reboot film directed by Fede Alvarez Romulus Alien.
