TEAM GB Olympian Amber Rutter has issued an appeal on social media after her bag was stolen on a train.
The 27-year-old, who won a silver medal in skeet at the Paris Olympics this summer, shared the devastating news on social media this afternoon.
She wrote on Instagram: “All my belongings have just been stolen on my train back from Manchester Piccadilly to Reading.
“Including the Cartridge necklace my grandfather gave me when I was 12 and I only took it off when I broke the chain last night.
“I'm really devastated.
“If anyone is able to help in any way I would really appreciate it.”
Rutter became famous in Paris this year after finishing second in the women's Olympic skeet competition.
She lost the gold medal in controversial circumstances to Chile's Francisca Croveto after a tie-break.
The sports shooter was judged to have missed one of the two shots but insisted she did not.
Replays showed that she broke the skeet, but Olympic rules did not allow the decisions to be overturned.

Rutter became the first British woman to win an Olympic medal in skeet, after being denied the opportunity to compete in Tokyo due to a positive test for the Corona virus.
She achieved this feat just four months after giving birth to her first child.
