MEGHAN Markle appeared on the red carpet in a strapless black dress last night just hours after Prince Harry made a solo appearance in New York.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, dazzled in a diamond necklace and hoop earrings at the glamorous Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.
She completed her look with a pair of black Stuart Weitzman heels and a silver Logan Hollowell necklace, and opted for a natural makeup look and a sleek hairstyle.
Megan's appearance came while supporting her friend Tyler Perry at The Paley Honors party in Beverly Hills.
Megan and her husband Prince Harry, 40, was part of the honors committee hosting the event, although he was not present on the red carpet.
The Duchess attended the event in California alone, while Harry was in attendance at the 2024 New York Times DealBook Summit thousands of miles away.
The Suits star was there cheers Ali Perry, 55, The Paley Media Center honored the director, actor and philanthropist with a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of his career.
Perry also received the Paley Honors Award at the ceremony.
Meghan and Harry have a close friendship with the billionaire director, who is the godfather of their three-year-old daughter, Lilibet.
This comes at a time when Harry said that he and his wife, Meghan Markle, have no plans to leave the United States any time soon during his solo trip to New York.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to Montecito, California, in the summer of 2020, just months after stepping down as working royals.
Harry, 40, has made several solo trips to the UK this year alone – although he remains estranged from most of the company's staff.
Speaking at a DealBook summit organized by The New York Times without Meghan, the royal's youngest son said: “I very much enjoy living here and raising my children here.”
He said that there are activities that he can do with his children “and there is no doubt that he will not be able to do them in the United Kingdom,” citing security concerns.
Harry said his focus now is “to be the best husband and best father ever.”
The duke went on to tell New York Times columnist and event founder Andrew Ross Sorkin that he opposes social media bans for children because it could lead to family discord and bullying by classmates.
Instead, he said such companies should be subject to greater transparency and accountability.
He said social media was “already intentionally created to be addictive,” so banning or removing it “creates all kinds of problems.”
Harry said he does not have his own social media accounts to help protect his safety.
“I try to think about these things through the lens of being a father,” he said.
Harry added: “It is no coincidence that the world has become more volatile and more divided since the existence of social media 20 years ago.”
The revelation comes after he and Meghan, 43, were rumored to have purchased a luxury property in Alentejo, Portugal.
The pair are reportedly planning to set up a base there after being seen in the area last September following the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany.
They currently live in their £11million Montecito mansion, which has nine bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a pool and a tennis court.
Harry is also continuing to press ahead with a legal battle against the Home Office over taxpayer-funded security to ensure his family's safety.
