Cops ordered him to take a sobriety test as part of the probation, according to footage obtained by CBS affiliate WTVF.

One of the soldiers asked the deputy, who was wearing casual clothes, to walk on a white line and put one foot in front of the other.

The legislator listened to the policeman's instructions before the test began.

It then began to move forward but was wobbling when it completed the test.

At moments during the test, he was accelerating and unable to stay on the line.

He still seemed unsteady on his feet after completing the test.

Yaeger was investigated following an alleged hit-and-run on Jekyll Island, Georgia.

Cops revealed that the politician's Ford Edge had Tennessee license plates.

Yager is believed to have collapsed in the parking lot and told police he had been in an accident.

But the police could smell alcohol on his breath.

His blood alcohol content came back to 0.14 – over the legal limit of 0.08.

Yager admitted to drinking AlcoHave glasses of wine during the day, according to the Nashville Tennessean.

A Georgia Department of Public Safety report alleged that the state senator urinated on himself.

Yager has since spoken out and described what happened as “unfortunate.”

“On the advice of my attorney, I cannot discuss details at this time,” he told CBS affiliate WTVF.

He added: “I will continue to cooperate fully with the authorities to reach an appropriate end to this incident.”
