At least 10 people were killed and 17 others injured after a small plane crashed in a popular Brazilian tourist town.
The planet reportedly hit the chimney of a building and then a house before crashing into a furniture store in the Gramado residential neighborhood.

Luiz Claudio Galeazzi, the plane's pilot, died along with the nine other passengers, all members of his family.
In addition, 17 people were injured on the ground, including two seriously injured, said Eduardo Leite, the city's governor.
Many of them were taken to hospital due to smoke inhalation.
The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
Local media reported that the passengers were members of the same family and were traveling to Sao Paulo state from another town in Rio Grande do Sul state.

The accident occurred a few days before Christmas, a particularly busy period for the city.

The Ministry of Health said in a statement that the plane took off from Mugla Training and Research Hospital.

Moments later, it crashed into the side of the fourth floor of the hospital building.

The helicopter is said to have quickly fallen to the ground and shattered into pieces on impact.

All four crew members on board – two pilots, a doctor and another medical worker – died in the crash.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was shocked by the fatal collision.
He said on social media: “Our hearts are broken by the news that four of our brothers lost their lives as a result of the Health Ministry ambulance helicopter crash in Muğla.
“I pray that God will have mercy on our deceased individuals and extend condolences to their families, colleagues and the entire healthcare community.”
Investigations are underway into the exact cause of the accident.
