As traditional Doctor Who As the Christmas special comes to a close, fans have been treated to a teaser for the upcoming series.
The second season of the revamped sci-fi show under the direction of Russell T Davies and with Disney as co-producer sees Arrival Andor Stars Varada Sethu as Belinda Chandra. In the teaser, which can be watched above, we see Doctor Ncuti Gatwa protecting Chandra.
The Doctor meets Chandra and begins an epic quest to return her to Earth. But a mysterious force prevents their return and the time-travelling TARDIS team must face greater dangers, greater enemies and wider horrors than ever before.
Sethu has joined the cast alongside Millie Gibson, who will continue to play her companion Ruby Sunday and can also be seen in the trailer. Strictly Come Dancing Winner Rose Ayling Ellis also came on board the following season.

A decision will likely be made at some point during that period on whether Disney will choose to continue investing in the show.
