John Reardon, Hallmark Channel actor and star of the Canadian police procedural drama Hudson and RexHe revealed that he had tonsil cancer.
Reardon shared two photos on a social media site, including one in which the actor appears in the hospital with his eyes closed.
“Last night was my first night out after recovering from tonsil cancer. It's been a long road between these two photos and the difference is the love and support I've received from the people in my life,” he posted on Instagram, expressing his gratitude to everyone who was by his side. “My amazing partner @officialmeghanory for taking on our entire world to help me improve. My brave children who inspire me.”
He continued: “My dad took me for a walk every day even when it was hard for me to get out of bed – and I'm sure it was hard for him to see his son in pain. My mom @ocean__cottage who made me soup, ginger tea, honey and green juices so I could get my calories in.” Heat in my body. Reardon also thanks his in-laws “who brought food and cake and talked us through the challenges,” as well as their nanny, neighbors and “everyone who sent food, love and support or messages and kind words.”
The actor also expressed his gratitude to “all the amazing doctors, nurses, technicians, hospital workers and psychologists. You are all my heroes and I thank you from the bottom of my heart,” adding: “Kindness is an underappreciated quality in people. We should never underestimate its value. The Canadian actor is a Citytv star Hudson and Rex Since 2019. In the procedural drama, Reardon plays Detective Charlie Hudson, who partners with Rex, a German Shepherd. The series' seventh season was confirmed in June and is expected to premiere in 2025.
