Broadway star Linda Lavigne has died at the age of 87, just weeks after promoting her new Netflix show.

Lavigne, best known for her role in the comedy series “Alice,” died unexpectedly in Los Angeles on December 29, her representative said.

She suffered complications from recently discovered lung cancer, according to Deadline.

Lavigne's career spanned decades, and she won a Tony Award for her role in the 1986 Broadway play Bound.

Lavigne was honored posthumously.

“She was an amazing actress, singer, musician and a heat-seeking missile with a joke,” said producers Max Muchnick, David Kohan and James Morrow.

But most importantly, she was a beautiful soul. Deep, joyful, generous, and loving.”

Her death comes just weeks after she promoted the new Netflix series No Good Deed.

She attended the series premiere on December 4.

It turned out to be her last red carpet appearance.

The black comedy aired on the streaming platform on December 12, with Lavigne playing the character Phyllis Adelman.

The show also stars actresses Lisa Kudrow and Linda Cardellini.

Lavigne also appeared on the Hulu show Mid-Century Modern.

A Hulu spokesperson described the screen star as a “legend.”

“She will be forever missed by her mid-century modern family, and we mourn this tremendous loss together.”

Lavigne's career on stage and screen has spanned decades.

She appeared in the 1960s musicals It's a Bird… It's a Plane… It's Superman – a show based on the comic book series – and the play The Last of Red Hot Lovers.

Lavigne appeared in more than 200 episodes of Alice over a nine-year period, from 1976 to 1985.

She also played Edie Kurland in the American sitcom Room for Two, which also featured Patricia Heaton.

Lavigne's credits also include hit shows such as The Sopranos, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and the drama series The O.C.
