Kieran Turner, documentary filmmaker Gobriath M (2012), died. He was 56 years old.
According to his representative, the Eight Track Tape Productions founder and 2021 CNN Docuseries Fellow died of cancer on Monday, December 23, in West Hollywood. A celebration of life is scheduled for January.

Turner's latest documentary, Ghost Lights: Reclaiming Theater in the Age of AIDSexamines the impact of the AIDS epidemic on the theater industry, and includes more than 150 interviews with theater pioneers and stars. Although Turner died during production, Wise Child Studios and producer Christian Tisdale, in partnership with executive producers Brett Morgan and Jonathan Groff, will complete the project in his honor.
