President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday called the United States a “disaster” and a global “laughing stock” in the wake of the deadly terrorist attack in New Orleans and the explosion of a Tesla truck outside his Las Vegas hotel.

In a fiery social media post, Trump criticized the country's “weak” leadership for failing to protect Americans from the “violent scum” — just hours after authorities revealed they were investigating two New Year's Day incidents as terrorism-related.

“Our country is a disaster, a laughing stock all over the world,” the 78-year-old said on his platform Social Truth.

He continued: “The Department of Justice, the FBI, local prosecutors and Democrats did not do their jobs.”

“They are incompetent and corrupt, and have spent every waking hour illegally attacking their political opponent, the Middle East, instead of focusing on protecting Americans from abroad and within the violent scum that has infiltrated every aspect of our government, and our nation itself.”

Trump, who did not directly mention the two deadly incidents, went on to blame “ineffective and virtually non-existent leadership” for the country's current state.

“The United States is collapsing, and there is a violent erosion of safety, national security, and democracy across our nation,” he said.

His rant came hours after Shams al-Din Jabbar, a US Army veteran who carries an ISIS flag, plowed through revelers in New Orleans with a pickup truck in a deadly attack — killing 15 people and wounding dozens.

The FBI said it is investigating the deadly massacre as an act of terrorism and that investigators do not believe he acted alone.

Meanwhile, authorities are also investigating the Tesla Cybertruck explosion that occurred outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday as a possible act of terrorism.

Fireworks mortar shells and camp fuel canisters were found stuffed into the back of the futuristic-looking pickup truck after it exploded, killing the driver and slightly wounding seven.
