The city's famous Bourbon Street turned into a bloodbath after the gunman ran over revelers with his white pickup truck before opening fire in the heinous attack.

Drone footage shows an unidentified man outside the home of suspect Shams al-Din Jabbar in Houston, Texas.
The man was seen raising one hand and turning around before raising his other hand.
Several Special Forces officers in a military vehicle were captured pointing their rifles at the unidentified man as he stood with his arms above his head.
The team seems to be giving the man strict instructions to follow.
The stunning footage comes after it was revealed that the FBI does not believe the New Orleans terror suspect was working alone.
Police found an ISIS flag at the scene in the truck used to run over people in the streets.

The FBI identified the suspect as Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, a US citizen from Texas.
Jabbar is a US Army veteran and was dressed in full armor and armed with an assault rifle to carry out the attack.
President Joe Biden said that in the hours before the attack, the suspect posted videos on social media showing himself to be inspired by ISIS and to have a “desire to kill.”
He added that the authorities are working “nonstop to investigate this heinous act.”
They do not believe he is solely responsible for the attack and have asked the public to come forward if they have interacted with Jabbar recently.
“We are aggressively pursuing all leads, including those of his known associates,” said Alethea Duncan, assistant special agent in charge.
An ISIS flag was found hanging on a white pipe sticking out of the hitch of the rental Ford truck, the FBI said.
A state police intelligence bulletin obtained by The Associated Press said pipe bombs were found inside the car, hidden inside coolers and wired for remote detonation.
Two more bombs were found in the French Quarter, including a pipe bomb with nails and plastic explosives hidden inside an ice chest, NOLA.com reported.

The remote control that controlled two of the bombs was also found inside the suspect's area as well as a mason jar containing explosives.
The FBI said the 3 a.m. attack was being investigated as an “act of terrorism” and that they were investigating Jabbar's “links and affiliations.”
It also appears that another flag was hanging from a pole on the back of the truck, a Ford F150 Lightning flag, and was covered by a jacket after the attack.
Police Inspector Anne Kirkpatrick said the gunman drove the pickup truck down Bourbon Street “at an extremely fast pace” and was “deliberately trying to run over as many people as possible.”
“This is not just an act of terrorism,” she said. “This is evil.”
Kirkpatrick said he was able to get past the defenses and drive down the street before opening fire with an assault rifle and shooting two police officers who were taken to hospital.
She said that more than 400 officers were deployed in the city last night for the celebrations.
Jabbar had converted to Islam just last year, and was “absolutely crazy,” the new husband told his ex-wife, the New York Times reported.
The suspect also had two daughters who were left “a mess” after the attack.

A man who witnessed the terror in the city's famous French Quarter at around 3:15 a.m. local time (9:15 a.m. GMT) said he saw an SUV “speeding up and running over people.”
The FBI is also investigating whether the suspect fired from the truck during the rampage.
Mayor LaToya Cantrell said the city had been affected by a “terrorist attack” and urged residents to avoid the area.
At a news conference on Wednesday, Cantrell said victims were still lying on Bourbon Street and their priority was to remove the bodies.
“We are aggressively pursuing all leads, including those of his known associates,” said Alethea Duncan, FBI assistant special agent in charge.
The death toll remained at 10 for most of Wednesday but rose to 15 after an update from New Orleans coroner Dr. Dwight McKenna.
The identities of the victims began to emerge after the tragedy, which her grieving mother named Nickira Cheyenne Dido.
Melissa Dido said her 18-year-old daughter “was the sweetest person. She would give you anything, anything,” Nola said.
Who is Shams al-Din Jabbar?
The man who police suspect drove his car into a crowd of New Year's Eve revelers in New Orleans is 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar.
He is believed to have killed 15 people in what authorities are investigating as a terrorist attack before he was shot dead by police.
More details are emerging about the US Army veteran who was born and raised in Texas.
Jabbar had a criminal history after his arrest in Katy, Texas, in 2002 on charges of robbery.
He was also arrested in 2005 for driving without an invalid license.
Documents seen by The US Sun confirmed that Jabbar held a real estate license from 2019 until it expired in February 2021.
In a YouTube video uploaded on May 12, 2020, Jabbar introduced himself as a team leader for Midas Group and a property manager at Blue Meadow Real Estate.
He shared that he was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, but was living in Houston at the time the video surfaced.
Jabbar said that during his 10-year service in the Army, he worked as a human resources specialist and information technology specialist from 2007 to 2015.
He was deployed to Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010.
Between 2015 and 2020, he served in the Army Reserve as an information technology specialist, the Army said.
Jabbar is a father of two daughters and has two previous wives.
It is unclear when his second divorce occurred, but court files show that a restraining order was granted against him in 2020.
The New York Times reported that a court document filed by the suspect in August 2022 as part of divorce proceedings said he was working for the accounting firm Deloitte and earning about $120,000 a year.
The FBI said officers found an ISIS flag in the truck after the attack after it had been attached to a pole on the truck's trailer hitch.

The other victims were named as father-of-two Reggie Hunter, 37, and footballer Tiger Peck, 27.
The truck is registered to a Houston man who is not Jabbar, the New York Times reported, and has Texas plates.
Ride-sharing app Turo has confirmed that the truck was rented through their site and they are now working with the FBI.
The FBI in Houston said they were “conducting law enforcement activity” in the north of the city after the attack.
A video posted on social media showed the white truck driving through traffic before making a sharp right turn and speeding past police.
Kirkpatrick said Jabbar drove on the sidewalk to avoid a police car blocking the road, barricades, and officers who were there to protect the public.
Some of the plugs were missing as they were replaced before the Super Bowl in February.
“We already had a plan, but the terrorist defeated it,” Kirkpatrick said.
When the truck stopped and Jabbar got out, three officers shot and killed him.
