Wayne Osmond of beloved group The Osmonds has died at the age of 73.
His family confirmed Osmond's death on New Year's Day.

“Wayne Osmond, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully last night surrounded by his loving wife and five children,” read the family statement obtained by local ABC affiliate KTVX.
“His legacy of faith, music, love and laughter touched the lives of so many people around the world.
“He wants everyone to know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true, that families are forever, and that banana splits are the best candy.
“We love him and will miss him very much.”
Born and raised in 1951, Osmond joined his brothers to form the Barbershop Quartet.
