Pat McAfee previously admitted that the Colts don't like him and it's easy to understand why.
When selected against the spread in Week 18, McAfee had the Colts -5.5 against the lowly Jaguars, but not without some back-and-forth commentary about his former team.
“I wish we could gate move the whole f-king team,” McAfee said on his show. “We need like 70 guys to get to the gate, I don't think we can do that in the NFL. Just in case I wanted to introduce myself as the president of the Indianapolis Colts, I would never do that. I put a plan together, 'How can you Getting rid of the whole F-king list?”
McAfee then went through the list of people who should remain in Indianapolis.
Spoiler alert: it's not much.
“except [Michael] Bateman said. “I want Bateman here. I want [Alec] Pierce here. Let's keep Quinton Nelson. Let's keep DeForest Buckner. Let's keep Kenny Moore. I love Kenny Moore.
Surprisingly, McAfee surprisingly singled out the Colts' biggest star and quarterback.
“Otherwise, see you. Every one of them. Goodbye. Take a walk.” “Thanks for coming,” McAfee said. “Jonathan Taylor? Trade his ass out of town. Did you get a second round pick? sweet. Firstly it would be better, we'll do this for the benefit of the program. Anthony Richardson was a good project. Get him out of town. Round 4 or whatever the hell you have. I see you. This is what I will do. “We need a complete reset.”
McAfee has been highly critical of this team all season, especially after quarterback Anthony Richardson pulled out of the Week 8 game due to fatigue before the third play in the red zone.
The ESPN star called for Richardson's job immediately and later questioned the team's leadership after their loss to the Giants in Week 17.
“Any blind person can see the red flags on this team,” McAfee posted to X on December 29. “Work ethic questions, never happen in good teams.. Commitment to preparation questions, never happen in good teams.. Being late to meetings, never happens in good teams.. Late to treatment/skipping treatment, never happens in good teams. The good one… the franchise QB was knocked out of the game… on third down… in the red zone… because he was tired… never happened in NFL history.
Indianapolis was still fighting for a playoff spot when it allowed Drew Lock and the then 2-13 Giants to slice and dice its defense and knock the Colts out of playoff contention.
