Aubrey Plaza's husband, Jeff Baena, has died, Page Six confirms. He was 47 years old.

The film's assistant director was found dead inside his home in the Los Angeles area on Friday morning, according to TMZ. Police then responded to a call for a death investigation at around 10:30 a.m. local time.

Baena was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene and law enforcement sources said he died by suicide. The exact details surrounding how he died are not immediately known.

Page Six reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles Coroner's Office for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

Plaza, 40, has not spoken publicly about her husband's death, and her rep directed us to a statement provided to Deadline on Saturday that states, “The family is devastated and requests privacy at this difficult time.”

The “White Lotus” actress has been married to Baena since 2021. They do not have children together.

Plaza revealed that the couple secretly tied the knot by congratulating the screenwriter on a new project at the time called “Spin Me Round” and referring to him as her “beloved husband” in an Instagram post.

The “Parks and Recreation” alum then shared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” what their wedding was like after they “got a little bored one night” while quarantining amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

She said she casually told Baena on their wedding day, “Hey, it's our 10-year anniversary, we should do something. Get an ice cream cone or do something special” and “joked about getting married.”

Plaza said she found 1hourmarriage.com, a website that helps couples obtain marriage licenses and tie the knot in a short period of time, and they were able to get married.

“We didn't tell anyone we were doing this,” the comedian noted.

Plaza and Baena began dating in 2011 after working together on multiple projects, including 2014's “Life After Beth” and 2017's “The Little Hours.”

The indie filmmaker is also known for working on “Joshy” and “Horse Girl” and co-writing “I Heart Huckabees.”
