MIAMI Dolphins fans are angry after missing the playoffs and are demanding a quarterback change.
Tua Tagovailoa disappointed fans by missing the final two games of the NFL season, an important part of the Dolphins' playoff push.
After receiving a massive extension during the offseason, Tua missed six games due to injuries.
He suffered another concussion at the beginning of the season, causing him to miss four games.
Tua later suffered a hip injury, causing him to miss the final two games of the season.
The Dolphins went 2-4 over the six games Tua missed, and just one or two wins could have gotten them into the playoffs.
Instead, Tua was out on the field while backup players like Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley tried to win games.
They couldn't get enough wins, and the Dolphins missed the playoffs for the first time since 2021.
Missing the playoffs left fans angry, and some had very extreme reactions.
Some went so far as to burn Tua jerseys they owned in a display of protest.
Other fans also expressed their disappointment on social media.
“You should never spend that kind of money on him,” one fan said.
“Not a franchise QB,” another fan said.
“We all hate Tua,” a third fan said.
“Tua and Grier took the team back 10 years!!” said a fourth fan.
“The Games should be boycotted next year because Greer is kept! Let Ross feel it, he's the one holding us back!” said a fifth fan.
Angry fans aren't the only problem the Dolphins face this season.
Tyreek Hill requested a trade after the season, and reportedly left the final game at halftime.
“This is the first time I haven’t been in the playoffs,” Hill told reporters after the game.
“I gotta do what's best for me and my family. If this is here or wherever it is, I'm going to open this door for myself. I'm going to open the door. I'm out, brother.”
“It's been great playing here, but at the end of the day, bro, I have to do what's best for my career.
“I'm too competitive to be there.”
Cornerback Jalen Ramsey also appeared to indicate he wanted out of Miami in an Instagram Story that he later deleted.
