It's 2025 and gearheads can now buy a very popular Ford model for $2,000 less compared to last year.
The American auto giants recently updated their website and listed the latest Ford Escape model at a discounted price.
As Car Buzz reported, the 2025 Escape saw a $1,395 reduction in the base Active model, while the plug-in hybrid version of Ford's compact crossover was cut by $2,100.
That means the 2025 Escape Active, which features a 1.5-liter turbo three-cylinder engine producing 180 horsepower, now starts at $28,150.
Drivers can get the best-selling car with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive as standard, with all-wheel drive optional.
However, this reduced price comes with some interior changes that only Ford experts might notice.
This includes the trim around the door glass, which was chrome but is now black.
Ford also removed the power adjustment from the driver's seat, which means no lumbar adjustment is possible either.
There are some new option packages for 2025, including the addition of Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+.
However, moving forward in the lineup, there are no noticeable changes at all.
The Escape is a popular choice for drivers due to its spacious interior, large trunk capacity and efficient engines.
It was one of the best-selling cars of 2024 – especially in the used car market where it broke into the top five most popular used cars to buy.
The Escape isn't the only Blue Oval offering to get a price cut in 2025.
The sixth-generation Ford Bronco, which has been on the market since 2021, gets a host of improvements this year, while seeing a list drop of $1,635.
The base model Bronco is set to return with more standard equipment and will start at just $39,890 – meaning the entry price has been reduced by $1,635 compared to the 2024 version.
This will also include a lot of new equipment inside the Bronco's cabin, which includes a 12-inch digital gauge cluster previously found in the Raptor – up from the previous setup that only used an 8-inch screen.
Climate control vents for the rear passengers can now also be found on the center console on all four doors ModelsIn addition to additional interior lighting and improved sound insulation.
Elsewhere, a Ford driver was recently startled after hearing an unexpected noise coming from his truck.
In a video posted to TikTok that has now racked up more than 4.2 million views, Ford driver Tommy reveals to viewers the old-school chime his car started producing when he opened the door.
This sound was prevalent in cars between 2009 and 2014, and seems to evoke feelings of nostalgia among viewers.
One TikTok commenter even wrote: “Lowkey nostalgia.”
But Tommy had a different feeling about the ringing, as he angrily filmed himself closing the truck door to stop the sound, and captioned his video: “My brother forgot it was 2024.”
