A massive vehicle has been revealed containing a foldable, drone-like helicopter stowed in the back.
The land-based aircraft carrier is a “modular flying car” built by Chinese startup Xpeng Aero HT, and is set to take to the skies as soon as next year.
eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) is ejected from the trunk on demand with the propellers unfolding.
Known as the 'Mothership', the ground unit uses a three-axle, six-wheel layout, with 6×6 all-wheel drive and rear-wheel steering to enhance off-road capability.
Meanwhile, the aerial module contains several rotor blades, supporting manual and autonomous flight modes.
The company has received about 3,000 orders for the land-based aircraft carrier.

It is scheduled to go into mass production later this year before reaching customers in 2026.
But it won't be cheap at “less than $300,000,” according to TechCrunch.
While the vehicle may appeal to millionaire adventurers, it will likely be useful for emergency search and rescue teams as well.
But it will only be available in China at first.
The land-based aircraft carrier was on display at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), a major tech event held in Las Vegas every year.
This isn't the first time Xpeng Aero HT has unveiled amazing flying cars like this.
At CES last year, the company showed off a different concept designed to dodge traffic on the ground.
In this model, the current car had large fans coming from the roof.
