PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — A DJ who packed a crowd of about 1,500 people into TGL's first-ever match at the SoFi Center on Tuesday night inadvertently captured the Gen-Z concept best when he shouted those words in the moments before the players got to know the music. Loud and towel-waving fans:
“This is not a golf club. This is not a country club. This is it club.''
TGL, which stands for Tomorrow Golf League, is not your father's golf course. That, of course, is the point of this creative and adversarial adventure.
TGL is not here to compete with the majors, the Ryder Cup, the Players Championship, or LIV Golf. It's here to attract non-traditional golf fans to the game.
