As wildfires continue to devastate Los Angeles County, Hollywood and media companies are joining relief organizations in stepping forward to raise money to help those affected as well as first responders and other emergency agencies.

Efforts include Fire assistancea benefit concert under the Azoff family's productions in association with Live Nation and AEG Presents, which will take place Thursday, January 30 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood. Performers and ticket information will be announced, but proceeds will go toward a 501(c)(3) established for the event that will focus on rebuilding infrastructure, supporting displaced families, and developing fire prevention techniques and strategies. the Motion Picture Television Box Provides financial assistance, provides supportive counseling, and assists with insurance needs. It also helps navigate county, state and federal resources available to fire victims as well as the Red Cross and others. Many industry organizations direct donations to the MPTF. the SAG-AFTRA Foundation It accepts donations to the Natural Disaster Relief Fund and has an extensive page of resources for fire-related needs. (Donate here).

the Community Recreation Fundan organization dedicated to supporting the needs of performing arts and entertainment professionals, has created a dedicated resource page as well as live pages for those seeking emergency financial relief, and a page for donations. Emergency financial assistance is available to people who are unable to pay immediate basic living expenses such as housing, food, utility bills, or health care. (Donate here.)

the Challenging the Entertainment Industry Establishment: Disaster Programwhich previously managed funds for victims of the 2023 Maui wildfires as well as the deadly 2018 Camp Woolsey fires, is fundraising. (Donate here.)

CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort)a nonprofit co-founded by Sean Penn and based in Los Angeles, has deployed an emergency response team to support people near the fires, where air quality is a major concern. They have distributed cash vouchers, N95 masks, hygiene kits, WiFi sources, charge banks and cell phone batteries, supported undocumented immigrant communities in navigating resources and assisting with requests for assistance. In addition, CORE, the CAA Foundation, and the Los Angeles Unified School District Education Foundation were launched SoCal Firefighting Fund To provide immediate and long-term support to community-focused recovery initiatives that help the most vulnerable groups affected by fires. the Annenberg Foundation and Wasserman Foundation Donated $1 million to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation to provide equipment and supplies needed to fight fires. The funds came in response to Tuesday's call for donations to help cover the costs of essential tools and safety equipment for LAFD firefighters, including emergency fire shelters, water backpacks and wildland brush tools.
