Exclusive: Film Constellation has revealed the first look image of Jeremy Comte's transatlantic thriller drama heaven The Paris- and London-based film company launches its sales ahead of the expected start of the festival this year.
Comte wrapped principal photography between Quebec and Ghana on the film last year. This is his directorial debut, after a short film FOV which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film, won the Special Jury Prize at Sundance, and Best Canadian Short Film at TIFF.
The film revolves around two young men on different sides of the world, one in Canada and the other in Africa, who connect through their search for the truth about their absent fathers.
In the wake of his father's disappearance at sea, Kojo, a young Ghanaian, is drawn into a world of street gangs and deception.
Meanwhile, in Quebec, Tony discovers his mother's connection to a mysterious sailor who may hold the key to finding the father he has never met. Determined to find the answers, Tony travels to Ghana and unwittingly meets Kojo on a journey that will change both their lives.

Newcomers Joey Boivin Desmaul and Daniel Atsu Hochborty play Tony and Cujo, with cinematography by Olivier Gossot (Feuve, Young Juliet), production design by Sylvain Lemaitre (Heir), Music by Valentin Hajjaj (Shut up, girl), and sound design by Sandy Notariani (father).
